This group brings together industry experts to develop and refine the standards that define laminate flooring performance. From evaluating test methods to advancing LF-01, LF-03, and LF-04, the committee ensures that NALFA certification reflects real-world conditions and continues to set the bar for quality and consistency.

Underlayment Committee

Strengthening the System from the Ground Up. 

Underlayment plays a critical role in how laminate flooring performs, and this committee is dedicated to getting it right. 

Focused on advancing LF-03, the Underlayment Committee works through performance criteria, testing, and education to ensure underlayment products support the full system. From moisture management to acoustics and durability, the group is helping define what quality looks like beneath the surface.
