WASHINGTON D.C., 2022 — The North American Laminate Flooring Association met in March for its annual spring meeting. Traditionally held at NC State University, the Association’s academic and testing house member, NALFA members were thrilled to be back in Raleigh together.
Representatives from regular manufacturing members such as CLASSEN Group, Kaindl Flooring GmbH, Kronospan USA, Mannington Mills Inc., Mohawk Industries, Shaw Industries Group, Inc., SWISS KRONO USA, and TORLYS Inc. attended the meeting as well as associate members DMX Plastics Limited, MP Global Products, Pak-Lite Inc. (PLI), and SELIT North America INC. Vendor/Supplier Members Arauco NA and Arclin USA Inc. joined the meeting and NALFA’s retailer member, Floor & Decor, was in attendance.
NALFA gained three new members this year from the moulding product category. These moulding manufacturers are considered associate members of NALFA and have formed a committee focused on moulding-specific specifications and standards. The members include Mohawk Industries, Versatrim, Inc., and Zamma Corporation. NALFA has been intentional about creating this new aspect of the membership and welcomes our new members to the Association’s efforts.
The group met over the course of three days and discussed a wide range of topics. Danushka Nanayakkara-Skillington of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) gave an informative presentation to the group that included forecasts, housing market analysis, and industry surveys.
